NHLE Yearly Family Resource
New Hope Lower Elementary seeks to meet the needs of all our military students and their families. We feel fortunate to live in a community with strong ties to the military. We understand that our military students encounter unique situations, and we want our families to know we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our Military Ambassador and School Counselor, Mealnie Prevost or our Parent Coordinator, Kim Hunt if you have any needs or questions we can assist you with.
They can be reached at: Melanie.prevost@lowndes.k12.ms.us Kimberly.hunt@lowndes.k12.ms.us
Anchored 4 Life: A peer-to-peer to peer group to help all families through various transitions such as coming to a new school, moving, deployment, and reintegration. If you would like to learn more please visit: https://anchored4life.com/
Our District offers services for all students despite any challenges they might face including learning disabilities or needing an extra challenge outside of the classroom for our academically gifted students. Visit our district special service department if you have any questions or concerns.
Events to honor our military families include:
November: A special bulletin board is displayed in our common area of our building that honors the military family members of our students.

Veterans Day: The NHLE students and staff are encouraged to wear patriotic colors to honor our military and their families. Our second grade students honor our Veterans with a special program for the school and our military families.
April: A day is chosen to honor our military children by wearing purple. We also have a special parent event for our military families.
